Level 4 of Nu Sentral is generally where all the restaurants are located at. Everytime I’ve walked past this level, I have noticed a long waiting line outside of Dodo Korea. Be it night or day, the waiting line remains the same. Since I had some shopping to do at Nu Sentral for the day, it was a good time to give this Korean restaurant a try. As the waiting line is the longest during lunch and dinner, I intentionally visited the restaurant after lunch hour has passed. There still was a waiting line but shorter than it usually is.

Yup, the waiting line usually extends all the way to the opposite side of the restaurant.

Its is all about Dosirak here, a.k.a Korean lunchboxes. You can choose your own combination at a cost of RM 17. If you decide to forego the lunch box and instead, have a go at their Korean Fried Chicken (KFC), you can do that too.

Dosirak with 2 main, RM 17

As this was my first time, I wasn’t sure as to what my options were. So, I simply followed what the rest were doing. I knew I wanted to try their KFC and I mentioned that to the server. As for the other items on the plate, I told her I’ll take whatever she suggest.
My lunch box consisted of soft, dense rice with a small piece of fish fillet with mayo, 3 pieces of Korean Fried Chicken, beef stew, mash potato, soup and 2 slices of watermelon. It was a wholesome dish, perfect for filling up my stomach. The KFC – sweet & spice, garlic & soy sauce. Upon tasting both, I liked the sweet & spicy option. Both were good but the sweet & spicy sauce had more flavor and crunch. I liked biting into it. It was also perfect to eat with the soft rice. A good and appealing taste. The beef stew was a good addition. The caramalized onion in the stew elevated the dish from a basic to a tasty side. The beef was soft and chewy. The tasty gravy was perfect to drizzle over the rice. Yummm!
Overall, I had good food here. I can see what there always is a long waiting line outside Dodo Korea. Food indeed is good. I would not mind another visit here, I’d be back, yes.
