I noticed Blue Reef a few days ago while I was on my way back home after lunch. Seeing the word fish and chips on display caught my attention. It has been ages since I’ve last had this particular dish and as it is one I’m clearly a fan of, I took note of Blue Reef and told myself I’ll drop by for a visit soon.
If I am not mistaken, TTDI is home to their second outlet, the first being in Tanjung Tokong, Penang. The restaurant is located within the row of shops close to ‘Pasar Besar TTDI’ and a few doors away from Pizza Hut.

They occupy two floors, which is a good thing as they tend to get busy for lunch. Customer service was great. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and led to our table. Food arrived within 10 minutes.
Menu

Chicken Parmigiana, RM 30

The dish consisted of breaded boneless chicken breast, tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. It was a large piece of meat, most definitely suited to fill up your stomach. Soft and tender, it was perfect to eat with the the tomato base. I rarely am a fan of anything tomato but I surprisingly enjoyed slurping on the sauce. Unlike many other eateries that serve this dish drowning in cheese, this one here had the minimum nessesary, which I liked because in this case, the cheese did not overpower the chicken and tomato base.
This dish also include a generous portion of salad.

Barramundi Fish & Chips, RM 33

With this particular dish, there were 5 options for the fish : Tilapia, Barramundi, Snapper, Grouper a d Halibut. I opted for Barramundi. It was fresh and made a good choice for this dish. Fish tasted good, crispy on the outside and tender, juicy on the inside. It was served on a bed of fries with a side lf salad and tartar sauce. Yummm!
As part of their lunch promo, each main meal also comes with a glass of refreshing Ice Lemon Tea.

All in all, food was good. Both dishes ordered were tasty. Would I head back here? If I am in the area, sure. Although fish and chips are a ‘once in a blue moon affair’ thanks to its high calorie content, I do intend to try out their burgers and sharing platter. So yes, if time and $$ permits, then sure, I will be back for another visit.
