A new dessert opened in SS 2 three weeks ago and since I was just around the corner, I figured I should drop by and check it out. If you are looking for soupy dessert – both warm and chilled in addition to fruity smoothies, tea and cakes with not common flavors, Bliss Dessert Bar may just be it for you. Ooooh, its aesthetically pleasing as well. The interior exudes a bright and cheerful vibe.

Customer service was good. I was welcomed in as soon as I stepped in. Ordering is online via a QR code at your table. I was initially a bit bummed out because the dish I wanted to try was tagged as ‘Sold Out’. However, as I am never one to give up easily, I made my way to the payment counter to enquire about its availability. Nothing wrong with double checking, right? I was told that the jelly used was sold out but she was nice enough to check their chiller and guess what – my effort paid off. Looks like the jelly in the new batch has set just in time for me. Yay! So, best double check with them if a dish is available or not.

Bliss Bowl: Sunset, RM 22

Sunset is a part of their chilled dessert Bliss Bowl series. The dish includes mango jelly with 4 toppings – taro, nata de coco, grass jelly and fresh dragonfruit cubes. It also comes with a serving of milk garnished with peanut crumbs. Once you pour the milk over the other ingredients and give it a good mix, the end result was a colorful delight. The different textures in addition to the milky sweetness that was pleasant made it an enjoyable dessert. I am not one usually to spend RM 22 on dessert but I suppose for this dish, once in a while, okaylaaaaa. Of course, there are cheaper options elsewhere but if you include the nice esthetics and interior, its location and etc, the cost makes sense.
Would I head back here? Maybe. I wouldn’t mind giving their smoothies a try.
