Biryani Chicken Biryani Garlic Cheese Naan Indian food Indian food in Bangsar South Lunch Combo Pork Free

Namaste India at Bangsar South (Pork free)

Opened since last month, Namaste India is the latest addition to the F&B lineup in Bangsar South. The restaurant is located on the Ground floor of Invito, a residence located in between Lifecare and Nexus.

While the restaurant is located in Bangsar South, for some reason, it is tagged as Namaste India Bangsar online. They used to have an outlet in Bangsar proper, along Jalan Maarof that closed down when this outlet opened. Do take note of this – their ‘Bangsar’ outlet is currently located at Bangsar South.

Parking: It was easy. You can park at Invito’s multi level car park. The rates are – 1st hour for FREE, 2 hours after that for RM 2, subsequent hours for RM 1

As most of you would likely know, this used to be a hotel (now residence) and the spot where Namaste India is at used to be the hotel’s restaurant. I used to dine at the restaurant many times over the course of the 6 years I’ve lived and worked here. Beeing back here now, it felt familiar. The interior and the feel of the place pretty much remained the same. There was ample space and a spacious setting. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available here.

Menu

Lunch Biryani Combo : Chicken Biryani, RM 29.90

This dish is a part of their Lunch Combos. Compared to the ala carte version of Chicken Biryani, the portion of rice for this dish is smaller. It is suited for a single eater. If you intend to share, best get the ala carte version. Besides the rice, the dish also included 3 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of Seekh Kebab, Chicken gravy, lentil gravy, raita and salad. Food was tasty. The chicken meat was soft and moist, perfect to eat with the rice. The kebab, I ate it by itself because it tasted like a spiced, flavored tender sausage 😁. The chicken gravy was different. It was thick and somewhat sweet – I liked it as it enhanced the taste of the dish overall.

Garlic Cheese Naan, RM 12

This roti was delicious. It was exactly as it was described in the Menu. Soft and pillowy it was, nice to bite into. There was a good amount of gooey cheese filling with a good sprinkle of garlic and a layer of butter. Very nice, yum yumm.
