Kapitan, a popular restaurant brand from Penang has opened their second KL outlet at Lucky Garden, Bangsar. Located within the same row of shops as Balas and Mahbub, Kapitan is fast becoming a crowd favorite.
As you can see, it was fullhouse for lunch. As most of them were the working folks from the area, the crowd did move in and out rather quickly. We dis not have to wait long for a table to empty.
Customer service was good. The waiters we dealth with were nice and friendly. Food arrived surprisingly fast, the briyani within 5 minutes. Awesome!
Menu
The items in the menu was similar to Kapitan TTDI, minus the mix rice section. So, if you have been to that outlet and have a favorite dish, chances are that you’d find it available here too.
Cheese Garlic Naan Set, RM 18
The naan was soft and pillowy, with plenty of garlic toppings ans stuffed cheese. I had no need for gravy as it was good enough to eat on its own. The Tandoori chicken was delicious. Tastewise, flavorsome. Meat was soft and tender. Just the way I liked it.
Chicken Biryani, RM 15
This dish was equally as delicious. The chicken had a more chewy texture compared to the tender tandoori chicken, flavorful nonetheless. Rice had no need for gravy as it was tasty by itself. All in all, a filling and satisfying dish.
Would I head back here? As I did enjoy the dishes ordered, I look forward to having more. So yes, I’d be back to Kapitan for another visit.
