Good noodles in PJ Kolo Mee New 2023: Oct Noodles Sarawak cuisine Sarawak Laksa SS2 food

Slurrp at SS 2, PJ – Sarawakian favorites

To those of you who are fans of Sarawakian noodles like Kolo Mee, Kampua Mee and Sarawak Laksa, do take note of Slurrp. This newly opened eatery offers all those dishes under one roof.

I liked the modern feel this restaurant exudes as well as its welcoming ambiance. The restaurant workers were friendly and nice. Food orders are done online via the QR code provided.

Menu

Sarawak Laksa (Big), RM 18

The BIG option for this dish included a large amount of vermicelli noodles, perfect for someone like me who intended to share the dish. The broth was soupy as oppose to milky, evidently reflects the little to no use of coconut milk. Taste of tamarind paste was obvious, resulting in the slight tangyness that one anticipates when indulging in this particular dish. I enjoyed it. Dish also included a good amount of shredded chicken and a few large prawns.

Kolo Mee Red (Big), RM 13.50

This dish was delicious. When I ate it, it tasted like I was eating Wan Tan Mee. The difference was, rather then the usual black kechup sauce, the one here came with red sauce – which I was told is marinated char siu oil? Yea. The red sauce tasted similar to a sweet tomato sauce expect a lot nicer and minus lingering aftertaste. The egg noodles used were bouncy and springy and worked well with the sauce, char siu, fish cake and minced pork. Yum!
