If you enjoy uncovering hidden gems, Pah The Baker is a perfect example of a quaint and unpretentious eatery. Tucked away inside the PJ Palms Sports Centre, just a stone’s throw from Amcorp mall, this bakery cafe may go unnoticed at first glance. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers much more than meets the eye.
The bakery cafe, though small in size, compensates for it with its warm hospitality and delectable food. Pah The Baker is managed by a friendly duo, with the man handling the front and the woman churning out delicious meals from the kitchen.

Upon entering the establishment, the first thing that caught my attention was the delightful and mouthwatering display of desserts and bagels. Additionally, the aroma of food being prepared in their kitchen filled the air, further enticing my senses. One could tell that every dish here was crafted with utmost care.
The selection was rather impressive, ranging from decadent cakes with unique flavors and at least 4 varieties of bagels, in addition to buttery pastries. It is important to note that all these tempting creations were made in-house, ensuring the highest quality and freshness, with a new batch made every Friday.

As I haven’t had lunch yet, I decided to hold off on treating myself to desserts. Instead, I thought I’d give one of their bagel sandwiches a try first.
Menu

Tuna Sandwich, RM 25

The sandwiches provided at this establishment come with three choices of bread: sourdough, brioche, or bagel. Among them, I selected the Jalapeno bagel, as I was informed that it was good, and indeed it did not disappoint. The bagel itself, even without any additional toppings, was exceptional when paired with a spread of butter. Unlike certain bagels that tend to be excessively solid, causing discomfort upon biting into them, the one offered here was pleasantly soft and dense. Its flavor was also quite appealing. When combined with a generous amount of tuna infused with hints of pepper, as well as a serving of rocket greens, the bagel was transformed into a truly delightful sandwich.
Salted Caramel Cinnamon Roll, RM 10

I was enticed by the sight of their cinnamon rolls on display at their counter and felt compelled to try it. I was fortunate enough to be given a slice generously adorned with walnuts and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. When asked if I wanted the bun warmed, I politely accepted. I highly recommend opting to have the bun heated, as it elevated the taste to a new level of deliciousness. The melted caramel sauce lent a pleasant blend of sweetness and saltiness to this delectable dessert. I appreciated the abundant sprinkling of cinnamon on each layer of the roll. Each bite was a heavenly experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall, it was a pleasant visit to Pah The Baker. Would I head back here? Yes, I certainly will.
