A recent addition to the F&B scene in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is Red Tea House Dim Sum, a specialty restaurant that focuses on dim sum dishes. Situated within Menara KEN, this establishment serves as an excellent choice for breakfast, opening its doors daily from 7.30 am to 10 pm. With its origins rooted in Penang, Red Tea House Dim Sum offers patrons a delightful variety of dim sum and more to choose from.
Parking: Street parking is available outside Menara Ken. If all the spots are fully occupied, visitors have the option to park in the basement carpark of the building. The carpark charges a rate of RM 3 for the first hour and RM 2 for subsequent hours.

Menu

Fried Radish Cake, RM 12 + Tom Yum Prawn Dumplings, RM 7.50 + Hong Kong style Pork Cheong Fun, RM 8.50 + Kaya Bun, RM 3 + Stuffed Egg Plant, RM 7.50

The Fried Radish Cake proved to be a delectable dish. With its portion size, it could easily stand alone as a satisfying meal. However, since our objective was to sample multiple dishes, we opted to share it between the two of us. In terms of taste, the flavors were impeccably balanced. Strangely reminiscent of a Char Koay Teow dish, it even possessed a subtle hint of charred essence that I look forward to. Yum!
A single portion of the Tom Yum Prawn Dumpling consisted of three dumplings. We decided to try this dish because it was not commonly offered at most dim sum restaurants here. Each dumpling contained two pieces of tender prawns mixed with a thick tom yum paste. Initially, I anticipated a messy experience when breaking open the dumpling, expecting tom yum soup to gush out. However, my assumption was incorrect. The use of a thickened paste instead of a liquid soup or curry made for a comfortable eating experience with no mess. The paste had a pleasant flavor, although the distinct taste of tom yum was somewhat subdued.
The Stuffed Egg Plant and Hong Kong style Cheong Fun were delicious as well. The cheong fun noodles had delectable shredded pork meat filling, garnished with crispy fried onions and accompanied by sambal. Once thoroughly mixed, the final outcome was a flavorful dish of noodles.
Lastly, as a dessert selection, I opted to sample their delectable Kaya Bun. The bun possessed a wonderfully tender and warm texture, exuding a pleasing bounce, precisely crafted to my preference. The filling was meticulously prepared using Pandan Kaya, which pleasantly contributed to its overall allure. Notably, the portion size was notably generous, allowing for a truly satisfying experience with each and every bite.
