Tony’s Noodle Cafe at Jalan Sin Chew Kee, Bukit Bintang, KL – A hidden gem (Not halal)

On the ground floor of a low-density flat lies one of the best Curry Mee spots on this side of town. This gem, located along Jalan Sin Chew Kee in Bukit Bintang, is just a stone’s throw away from popular cafes like Three Years Old Cafe and The Breakfast Spot. Tony’s Noodle Cafe may not fit the modern image typically associated with the word ‘cafe’, but its no-frills, simple setup is precisely what draws people in. Now managed by a grandson who has proudly taken over the family business, Tony’s Noodle Cafe has been serving up delicious bowls of noodles for over 12 years, establishing itself as a must-visit destination for noodle lovers.

On Google, this noodle shop boasts a noteworthy 4.8/5 rating from over 200 reviews. With its under-the-radar setup, it’s an ideal destination for those in search of hidden gems in Kuala Lumpur. Parking is a breeze, with ample spots conveniently located right outside the establishment.

Curry Mee

This bowl of noodles was simply outstanding. The moment the dish arrived at my table, I was enveloped by its tantalizing aroma. A sip of the curry revealed a remarkable blend of flavors, creamy with a delightful hint of lemon tanginess. My choice of noodles— a mix of kuey teow and mee hoon—was the perfect combination, beautifully coated in the rich curry. The dish also featured tauhu, taugeh dumplings, and strips of pork. Overall, this curry mee was awesome, and it’s definitely worth the drive to enjoy it again.

Dry Wan Tan Mee

Just like the Curry Mee, we ordered the Large size for this dish too, which came with plenty of noodles. A typical fan of this dish enjoys simple and basic flavors, expecting mild and basic taste. If you love bold flavors, you might be disappointed, but I do enjoy eating simple noodles now and then. The dish includes thin slices of pork, greens, and a bowl of soup with homemade dumplings.
