As soon as I read that this was a part of Patty & Pie in Aman Suria – I got all giddy and excited. Why? Well, I truly enjoyed the food I ate at Patty. The burger and pizza were da bomb. So, it goes without saying that I was hoping to relive the same positive experience at Crust too.
Crust is located on the 1st floor, at 163 Retail Park. If you are like me, not too familiar with the area – use Waze folks 🙂 It is basically within a building that is located directly opposite the Mont Kiara Police station. At the time of my visit, they were just installing the parking machine , so parking was free, yawwww. Lucky me. I dont know about now though.Anyways, I’d say Crust had a different vibe to that of Patty & Pie. Where Patty is warm and cosy.. Crust is bright and cheerful. It had a good vibe going on. Boisterous environment, plenty of people – work folks, couples dating, single seaters , friends getting together, mothers and kids. A nice place to sit and destress.
Frutti de Mare, 35 ringgit
As you’d probably know, Frutti de Mare is basically a seafood pizza, which was the case here – with plenty of prawns, squids and mussels. I like the pizza crust here. The inner and middle part consisted of thin, not too crunchy crust and the edges were more fluffy, airy and soft. It was made in a way that it would not make you full after just a slice. The flavors were nice, the mix between the tomato sauce and the mozzarella was tasty. There were plenty of seafood scattered all over, I dont fancy mussels much, so that was passed on to my friend, about 5 – 6 pieces of it and despite going without, I still had plenty of squids and prawns to chew on. So yea, the seafood came in a generous portion. I enjoyed the pizza.
Would I head back here?
Personally, perhaps not. Not because I did not like the food, I did. Its more to do with which eatery I fancy more and Patty & Pie does it for me. I like it better there and the Aloha Chicken Pizza served there was memorable to me and it goes without saying that I have already developed a sort of liking towards Patty. So yea, it is Aman Suria for me.
