Today, I was in the area, an area I rarely venture into – so, what better day to head back to Miligram, if not today, right? The funny thing is, I hang out in Damansara Jaya quite a bit – head to the cafes there, buy my groceries at Atria but I do not do the same with Taman Mayang Jaya, which is located barely 10 minutes away from Atria. Hmmm,Β perhaps I will change that some time soon as there seem to be quite a bit of eateries on this side too, waiting to be discovered.
The interior and the ambiance was cheerful and pleasant. Customer service was good – they were friendly and welcoming. Just like the first time I was here, the cafe became fully occupied within 10 minutes. I arrived pretty early, it was empty (as you’d see from the image above), barely 10 minutes later – it was full, no joke. Well, since I observed similar occurrence during both my visits there, I guess it is fair to say that this cafe is all around awesome.
Smoky Pork Sausage Pasta Carbonara, 21.20 ringgit
This dish comes with 2 options – O’lio or carbonara, I opted for the latter and it was a good choice. It also comes with a jumbo smoked garlic sausage and a poached egg + tomatoes + cabbage. This was one delicious pasta. Once you cut into the poached egg and mix it all up, you’d get yourself a wet, creamy, gooey carbonara, yummmm! The sausage was delicious, crunchy, chewy and flavorsome. Lump it all together and you’d have yourself a delicious, fulfilling dish. I certainly would give this a go again.
Nestum Bacon French Toast, 26 ringgit
This was dessert and main meal all in one. Who would have thought french toast + bacon + vanilla ice cream + banana + nestum would go well together? I know I did not. I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a go anyways since it looked appetizing. I am glad I did though because it was utterly delicious. The french toasts was dipped in nestum as oppose to the usual bread crumbs, it had the same effect though, perhaps even a lil more crunchier. The bacon used are cut into tiny bits, like the ones you would see in pastas – thin strips, lightly fried and are inserted within the toast, not on the top or the bottom but in between. The meaty flavor from the bacon accompanied with the soft, crunchy taste from the toast + the sweetness and creamyness from the vanilla ice cream – it all worked out real well. Another dishΒ would order again. Worth every penny.
Would I head here again?
I most certainly will. My second time here was as enjoyable as my first. Looking forward to revisiting.
