Nondua at PJ New Town – Yum! 😍😍(Vegetarian)

Located above the popular Indian vegetarian restaurant, Pure Saiva, Nondua is a vegan and vegetarian eatery that offers delightful Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. Patrons can indulge in a diverse selection of dishes such as pasta, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, and desserts. Notably, Nondua has garnered a commendable Google rating of 4.9 out of 5, based on the feedback of over 130 patrons, promising a delectable dining experience.

Located on the first floor, the stairway leading to this eatery is situated next to Pure Saiva. Both of these dining establishments are under the same management. With my frequent visits to Pure Saiva, I mistakenly anticipated Nondua to exhibit a similar interior, which was not the case. Upon entering Nondua, it becomes evident that the ambiance is distinctly different, characterized by earthy tones as opposed to the white walls of Pure Saiva. Although both establishments share the same management, it is clear that they offer different concepts and dining experiences.

Menu

The food offered at this establishment is exclusively vegan and vegetarian. Prices are comparable to those found at a cafe. The cuisine is a fusion of Asian and Mediterranean.

Grilled Mediterranean, RM 29

All of their sandwich offerings were quite tempting, and after careful consideration, I landed on this specific dish. Each dish is served with a ‘side of the day’, and on the day of my visit, it was sweet potato chips. I thoroughly enjoyed them – thinly slices, crispy, with a subtle sweetness. The sandwich itself was delightful.

I wish I am able to break apart the sandwich and describe each layers in detail but I am unable to do so. The minute the dish arrived at my table, I ate it all up with much vigor. The sandwich featured soft, toasted bread accompanied by grilled vegetables sautΓ©ed in seasoned vegetable oil and grilled Halloumi cheese. The harmonious combination of these ingredients resulted in a delectable sandwich.

Pesto Spaghetti, RM 29

As an enthusiast of this particular pasta, I found this dish to be quite delightful. I have always had an affinity for pesto, and its distinctive flavor was unmistakable here. Paired with the cheese garnish and crispy pine nuts, this spaghetti offered a gratifying flavor profile, complemented by a rich, somewhat creamy texture that I found to be quite pleasing.

Toucan Do It, RM 13

Toucan Do It is a part of their Cooler Series. The beverages are distinguished by their creative names, a commendable feature. This particular drink stands out as a bestseller, which prompted my decision to sample it, especially considering my fondness for passionfruit. Each cooler in the series features a distinct fruity base, and Toucan Do It showcases the delightful essence of passionfruit. If you appreciate a drink that seamlessly combines sweetness and tartness with subtle fruit notes, this offering is ideal for you. Not only does it possess an attractive appearance, but it also delivers a refreshing taste.

After sampling the culinary offerings at this establishment, I am inclined to return to Nondua for another dining experience. I found the sandwich, pasta, and beverage to be quite enjoyable. I anticipate the opportunity to explore their selection of wraps and pizzas during my next visit.
