This was another unplanned visit. It was a solo lunch trip this time, lunch with my own lonesome self, lol. The intended destination, unfortunately, was overcrowded and finding parking was a nightmare during this time of day. Since I happened to be in the vicinity, I decided to take a drive around the three blocks of Happy Mansion, merely to discover if there were any new establishments since my last visit. To my surprise, I stumbled upon Heritage Kopitiam, one of the latest additions here. They have several outlets around town and this is their recent opening.
Located on the Ground floor of Block C, Happy Mansion, Heritage Kopitiam’s interior, decor, and vibe are reminiscent of the other outlets, exuding an ol’ school ambiance. The culinary offerings are almost identical, featuring an array of local dishes commonly found in a Chinese kopitiam.

Signature Mee Siam, RM 5.90 + Curry Chicken, RM 6.90
Food was simple and nice. The Mee Siam itself consisted of a generous portion of noodles accompanied by sambal and a perfectly cooked egg. For an additional RM 1, one could opt to include kacang and anchovies. In order to make this a more wholesome dish, I decided to add Curry Chicken. Instead of traditional curry, I received a succulent piece of chicken thigh smothered in a sweet, rendang gravy. This combination proved to be a delightful accompaniment to the noodles.
