We recently dined at TasteBud and found it to be an exceptional experience. Prior to our visit, I had not been aware of its existence until it was recommended by a friend. This establishment is reputed for its delightful Indian cuisine, which heightened my anticipation for a satisfying meal. The restaurant’s online ratings further affirm this notion, as it boasts an impressive average score of 4.4 out of 5 based on feedback from over one thousand patrons.
The inviting ambiance of the restaurant established an ideal setting for our dining experience. Its simple setup was a nice change from some over-the-top decorations I’ve encountered at some other Indian restaurants. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the delightful aroma of exotic spices, complemented by the warm color scheme of the decor and the soothing background music. Customer service was good. We were immediately attended to once seated and any inquiries were answered pleasantly.
Menu
Upon perusing the menu, I was delighted to find a diverse selection of Indian culinary delights. The offerings encompass an array of options, ranging from biryanis to rich, creamy curries, rotis, snacks and desserts.
Bru Coffee, RM 3.50 + Ginger O, RM 4
We commenced with beverages. It is noteworthy that the establishment offers excellent drinks. I prefer my coffee strong, and typically it is served mild and somewhat diluted unless specifically requested otherwise. However, here it was prepared to my liking – strong and potent. The hot Ginger O was also delightful. The ginger flavor was intense but not overpowering, just sufficient to provide a warm sensation in the throat. It serves as an effective remedy for sore throats and flu.
Brinjal Do Pyaza, RM 15.50 + Special Chicken Briyani, RM 19.50 + Paneer Parotha, RM 5.50
Food was delightful, particularly the Special Chicken Biryani, which is highly recommended. Despite being accompanied by raita and curry, the rice did not require any additional gravy. It was both tender and richly flavored, cooked together with boneless chicken pieces in a thick, flavorful sauce. The chicken’s exquisite flavor was more than sufficient to elevate the overall dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, and consequently, the biryani as well.
Brinjal Do Pyaza is an ideal choice for those who enjoy eggplant parathal. The dish features tender, succulent brinjal in a rich, flavorful gravy. It serves as an excellent side dish to complement the biryani.
Our visit to TasteBud was not only a delightful experience. We left with contented hearts and satisfied palates, eager to return and explore more of the tantalizing offerings at this eatery.
