Fino Piza is the latest addition to the food hub along Jalan Datuk Sulaiman. Where exactly? THis eatery is located within the same stretch that also houses Devi’s Corner, Goodness Green Cafe, Big Singh Chapati, Sweet Escape and etc. Having been in operation for about 2 weeks, Fino’s offers you no frills, handcrafted wood-fired, thin crusted pizas.

At Fino’s, you could order a full piza or a half-half.

The Half-Half Combo is self explanatory. In this case, this option is available if you intend to have a taste of 2 pizas in one go. Rather than having to separate pizas, which to most of us may be overwhelming is size and price $$ unless you visit in a big group, the Half-Half allows the smaller group of people the opportunity of indulging in more than one piza. How it works is that you’d need to pair up combo with similar base? For instance – panna with panna, passato with passato. So, you can’t have a Classic Hawaiian Chicken + Clam Piza Combo because one is passato and the other, panna.

The combo we went for was the Quattro Formaggi + Spinach, Feta & Chicken. It was yummy. I usually care about calories but its pizas, lol. Calories should be forgotten and overlooked, ey? If you love cheese, you’d certainly enjoy Quattro Formaggi because it comes with 4 different cheese – mozzarella, cheddar, blue cheese and gouda. There is also crushed walnuts and a drizzle of honey. Do anticipate different textures and tastes – a lil saltiness, slight bitterness with a dose of sweetness, creamyness, nuttyness. The Spinach, Feta & Chicken was another piza with cheesy goodness. There was a nice portion of roasted chicken fillet on the top, followed by a healthy dose of spinach, mozzarella, parmesan and onions. This half of piza was equally as enjoyable as the other half. I loved the fact that the piza base here is thin and crispy, which allowed to truly enjoy the piza as a whole as oppose to having to be context with with a rather large, thick pizza base which let’s be honest, is wasted calories.
